CommonSpirit Health has purchased land for a future health campus to serve the rapidly expanding communities in south metro Denver.

The 42-acre parcel, located in the Meridian community at the southwest corner of Peoria Street and E-470 in Douglas County, was chosen to ensure that people living in one of the fastest growing regions of the state have access to high-quality, patient-centered care close to home.

“With CommonSpirit’s expansive network of high-performing hospitals, clinics and caregivers, we are uniquely positioned to serve the people who live and work in this area,” said Andrew Gaasch, CommonSpirit’s mountain region president. “We are committed to transforming how and where health care can happen, and with 12 of our region’s 20 hospitals spanning from Durango to Frisco, from Canon City to Longmont, the south metro campus will allow us to connect communities across the state, serving as an important hub for providing innovative, compassionate care to our neighbors.”

The health campus will showcase a holistic approach to health care, creating spaces where a wide array of treatments will support patients’ current and future medical needs. Additionally, welcoming spaces will be featured where community members can improve their overall health and well-being through physical activity and whole-health experiences.

Construction on the health campus is expected to begin in the third quarter of 2025. While additional details regarding the health campus will be released in the coming months, demolition of the existing structure located on the building site will begin in late winter 2025.
