Denver-based project partners and co-developers Confluent Development and Kelmore Development have successfully completed Clark’s Market, the grocer anchor of the 175,000-square-foot Exchange at Boulevard One mixed-use redevelopment, which will serve Denver’s Lowry neighborhood as well as its neighboring communities. The introduction of Clark’s Market’s mountain town brand marks its official entrance into the Denver Metro market and the final property that represents the full build-out of the Exchange at Boulevard One development.
“Clark’s Market is the perfect complement to the versatile tenant mix already open for business at the Exchange at Boulevard One and we’re proud to see reach this important milestone for the community,” said Nick Kitaeff, senior development director at Confluent Development. “Through our shared values of community and quality, this partnership with Clark’s Market will continue to enhance the Exchange at Boulevard One’s wide range of products and services while fostering a sense of community togetherness within the neighborhood for years to come.”
Located at Lowry Boulevard and Pontiac Street, Clark’s Market occupies approximately 25,000 square feet of custom-built space that will offer natural, organic and gourmet products. As a specialty grocer, the Clark’s Market concept blends traditional staples with freshly prepared foods to make every day a unique shopping experience. Known for an emphasis on freshly prepared products, this Clark’s Market location will have a chef-created deli and sushi items daily, house-made stone-fired pizza, freshly squeezed juices, and made-to-order smoothies, the highest quality fresh produce and premium quality sustainably sourced meat and seafood.
Clark’s Market’s offerings extend beyond being a typical mountain grocer, as the store will serve as a welcoming community hub and an on-site liquor store offering a selection of beers, liquor and a curated wine selection.
“The Lowry community has graciously embraced our new store, creating an atmosphere of warm energy and excitement surrounding this grand opening and the many years ahead that our store will serve local residents.” said Clark’s Market CEO Tom Clark, Jr. “This community is eagerly anticipating a special and unforgettable experience as we open our doors, and we look forward to introducing our new friends and neighbors to a memorable and enjoyable shopping experience.”
Clark’s Market is a family-owned independent grocer founded in 1978 by Tom Clark, Sr. in Aspen. In addition to the Lowry location, Clark’s Market operates stores in Aspen, Snowmass, Telluride, Crested Butte, Norwood and Parachute in Colorado as well as stores in Blanding, UT and Sedona, AZ.
The collaborative project was supported by the Denver Urban Renewal Authority and Lowry Redevelopment Authority (LRA). Open Studio Architecture served as the project architect and Howell Construction was the general contractor.
“Close coordination with our clients, Confluent Development, Clark’s Market, and the design team was key to our ability to deliver such a gorgeous space,” said Kylar DeLuca, Howell Construction project manager. “Our team is so proud of the outcome.”
