Concrete Day at Denver Capitol Friday, April 28

DENVER – Concrete Day at the Capitol will be held on the southeast corner of the Capitol grounds on April 28, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The concrete industry, represented by the Colorado Ready Mixed Concrete Association, American Concrete Pavement Association-Colorado/Wyoming Chapter and the American Concrete Pipe Association will host a BBQ picnic lunch for Colorado legislators and their staff.

“The concrete industry is vital to Colorado’s infrastructure and economy. On April 28, 2017 we recognize concrete as a sustainable, green building material and superior choice for construction. We look forward to recognizing the thousands of employees who make a difference in our state during the annual Concrete Day at the Capitol BBQ,” said Gov. John Hickenlooper.

The purpose of the event is to recognize the hard work of the Colorado Legislature and their staff, and to raise awareness of the importance of the concrete industry to the state of Colorado’s economic growth and sustainable development practices.
