Conscience Bay Company Donates Nearly Half a Million Dollars to 34 Nonprofits in 2022

In 2022, CBC expanded its charitable contributions to 34 nonprofits working to improve the built and natural environments, education and community health and resiliency.

In this season of giving, Conscience Bay Company (CBC), a Boulder-based real estate investment and management firm that focuses on properties and partnerships that cultivate healthy food, people and places, has released its 2022 Charitable Giving Report. In total, the company gave $481,000 in 2022 to local and national organizations that align with CBC’s mission to improve the health, prosperity and resiliency of communities and the environment.

“Our goal through our work at Conscience Bay Company is to create lasting positive outcomes in our communities,” said Eli Feldman, president of Conscience Bay Company. “We recognize that we can amplify those outcomes through collaboration, advocacy and financial empowerment of local organizations working every day to address the challenges our communities face. We are grateful that our success as a company allowed us to increase our giving to a new level this year.”

In 2022, CBC expanded its charitable contributions to 34 nonprofits working to improve the built and natural environments, education and community health and resiliency. In addition to financial contributions, the company volunteered dozens of hours throughout the year with these nonprofits on service projects as well as through board leadership. Nonprofits supported include There With Care, the I Have a Dream Foundation, Boulder Homeless Shelter, the Leeds Scholarship Fund and CU Law Scholarship Fund, and the Getches-Wilkinson Center for Natural Resources.

“Our gratitude for our partnership with Conscience Bay Company is overflowing,” said Paula DuPré Presmen, founder and CEO of Boulder-based There With Care. “Our mission at There With Care is to support families who have a child facing a life-threatening illness, and the team at Conscience Bay is helping us fulfill that mission in every possible way. They volunteer with us, assembling essential items to be delivered to families in the hospital, and they’ve prepared meals for families to have after long days at medical appointments. They have donated a home for our program support and provide financial support that has been crucial to helping us expand our impact. Conscience Bay Company genuinely exemplifies what it means to be a community steward, and we are honored to have their trust, care and partnership.”

In addition to CBC’s charitable giving, the company is deeply invested in optimizing its own operations and its real estate portfolio to create a healthier built environment. Since its inception, CBC has invested over $1.8M in energy conservation measures that have saved approximately 7.5M kWh of electricity, which equates to keeping approximately 5,300 metric tons of CO2 out of the environment.

“We see a fundamental connection between the long-term prosperity of our communities and the quality of our built environment,” added Feldman. “Rather than prioritizing quick gains, we invest in our properties with the goal of delivering sustained social, economic and environmental returns – for our investors and for the communities in which we live.”
