DENVER — Construction is complete on the new Yale Station apartments located at 5121 East Yale Avenue in Denver. Ware Malcomb, an award-winning international design firm, provided civil engineering services for the project.
Yale Station is a five-story, transit-oriented senior living apartment complex ideally located in the heart of Denver close to restaurants, shopping and transportation. The project totals 186,500 square feet including the lobby and underground parking. Due to parking constraints, the site’s stormwater detention vault was split into two parts and connected by pipe. The Ware Malcomb team designed an underdrain system to route water to the detention vault to accommodate the high groundwater levels.
The property offers residents one-and two-bedroom apartment units as well as a host of amenities including a community center, arts and crafts room, picnic area and more.
“It was great to work on this project that provides a unique offering in the market: transit-oriented apartments in an ideal South Denver location,” said Chris Strawn, principal Civil Engineering. “We worked closely with the project team to solve any engineering challenges and ensure the vision for Yale Station was executed.”
