Continuum Partners introduces Foreign Rider and State & Liberty to Basecamp at Market Station

Two New Men’s Clothing Stores to Open This Spring in Downtown Denver

Continuum Partners LLC, a Denver-based real estate developer specializing in urban, mixed-use projects, and Clarion Partners LLC, a global real estate investment platform with a 40-year history, have announced today that two men’s clothing companies, Foreign Rider and State & Liberty, will be launching retail outlets at Basecamp at Market Station. Both stores are set to open this spring

“We are very excited about welcoming Foreign Rider and State & Liberty to Basecamp at Market Station,” said Peter Fair, senior principal at Continuum Partners. “Basecamp is all about showcasing powerhouse brands and companies that live the outdoor ethos of Denver and Colorado and these two brands could not be a better fit.”

State & Liberty Clothing Company specializes in athletic fit, performance fabric menswear. The company’s core products consist of stretch blazers, dress slacks, and suiting to complement their best-selling dress shirts. While their main focus is on professional clothing, they also feature a selection of business casual, athleisure wear, and golf apparel. All the products are designed to be worn for a close-fitting, modern tapered look. The fabrics are stretch performance materials that are moisture-wicking, wrinkle-free, allowing for a tailored fit without sacrificing comfort, all while maintaining a professional appearance. The company also has a robust wedding business. State & Liberty prides themselves on providing an old-school, next-level in-store service in a laid-back luxury environment that includes a lounge, open bar, and attention to the customer experience. Their storefront at Market Station is their second in Denver – the first being in Cherry Creek – and will be 1,201 square feet and located at 1425 16th Street.

“With a successful store in Cherry Creek, we were really excited about opening another store in the Denver market,” said Tony Jordan, general manager in Denver for State & Liberty. “Market Station is a great fit for State & Liberty to grow the customer base downtown and be part of a growing part of the community/city.”

Foreign Rider Co. manufactures men’s sportswear designed for comfort and daily performance. They create durable, timeless products using natural and technical fibers. The company was started with the goal of ensuring premium quality, sustainability, and ethical business practices. This is Foreign Rider’s first location in the U.S., let alone Denver or Colorado, with their only other storefront located in Toronto. The 1,113 square foot Market Station store will be located at 1641 Market Street Suite 133 in the Basecamp Paseo.

“We value Continuum’s vision to gather a community of brands serving adventure athletes, creatives, and enthusiasts of both traditional and alternative sports,” said Josh Perez, director of marketing at Foreign Rider. “This absolutely aligns with our ethos, and we believe that this specific area in Denver will blossom over the next few years. There is a sense of comradery with the other brands that are located at Market Station, and we look forward to growing a large community together.”

Opened in 2021 and developed and delivered as a joint venture with New York-based Clarion Partners, LLC, the 370,000 square foot Market Station project comprises almost an entire city block, bounded by 16th, 17th, Market and Blake Streets, surrounding the RTD District headquarters building at 1660 Blake Street. The development includes 225 residential units at The Flats and Fourteen 45 as well as 126,000 square feet of creative, Class A office space that is home to JP Morgan Chase and Deloitte Digital; 52,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space; and capacity for more than 300 vehicles in a fully-valet parking garage utilizing mechanical car stackers, open to both tenants and the general public. Basecamp, the Market Station retail center, is home to a variety of tenants including Thule, Danner Boots, T-Mobile, Chase Bank, Milk Tea People, Topo Designs, Aether, Scarpaletto, Water Grill and The Joint Chiropractic with Foreign Rider and State & Liberty opening this spring.
