United Properties has announced plans to launch its line of for-sale cooperative senior-housing communities in the Denver market, with the first coming to Westminster in late 2023.
The Applewood Pointe Westminster 62+ cooperative community will be built at the southwest corner of West 108th Avenue and Wadsworth Parkway in Westminster. The 85+ home community will feature spacious open-concept floor plans surrounded by beautifully landscaped grounds and mountain views. The cooperative one-level homes are built with full kitchens and in-home washers and dryers. Denver-based Rosemann & Associates is the architect for the project.
The unique co-op community will be 100-percent resident member-owned. Once United Properties has completed development of the community and all the homes have been sold, complete ownership is transferred to the buyer. From that point on, all changes to community policies, amenities and more are decided by a board of resident-elected community members.
United Properties currently operates 15 Applewood Pointe communities in Minnesota and hopes to develop multiple communities in the Denver area.
