LOVELAND — Courtyard by Marriott Loveland/Fort Collins will begin welcoming guests on Friday, Feb. 15. A grand opening ceremony is planned for April. McWHINNEY, Colorado-based real estate investor and developer and master developer of Centerra, delivered the hotel in partnership with Stonebridge Companies, a privately owned, innovative hotel owner, operator and developer headquartered in Denver.

The four-story, 67,000-square-foot hotel adds 102 guest rooms to northern Colorado, supporting the region’s strong demand for hospitality offerings. The project marks the fourth hotel within Centerra’s 3,000-acre master-planned community in Loveland.

The addition of the Courtyard by Marriott will support the market’s expansion and corporate demands from major employers in the region as well as increased travel and tourism. The hotel’s opening also will assist the Budweiser Events Center and The Ranch, Larimer County’s Fairgrounds and Events Complex, in attracting additional events based on increased hotel room capacity.

“We’re pleased to enhance Centerra’s collection of hospitality options,” said David Crowder, general manager of Centerra and vice president of community development for McWHINNEY. “Centerra is the heart of northern Colorado and increasing capacity in response to the region’s continued demand for hospitality services is paramount to maintaining its position as a premier destination for business and leisure travelers alike.”

Located at 6106 Sky Pond Drive near the Interstate 25 and U.S. 34 transportation corridor, the Centerra hotel sits within walking distance of shopping, dining and entertainment at The Promenade Shops at Centerra, northern Colorado’s premier shopping destination.

Hotel amenities include complimentary Wi-Fi, 978 square feet of meeting space, a lounge, outdoor patio, fitness center, market, indoor pool, hot tub, guest laundry and a bistro.

McWHINNEY serves as the co-owner, co-developer and asset manager of the hotel, with Stonebridge Companies as the co-owner, co-developer and hotel operator. 2WR + Partners was the architect on the project while Coe Construction served as general contractor.

The partnership also plans to deliver a Hilton dual-brand property in Centerra. The Homewood Suites and Hilton Garden Inn hotels are planned immediately south of the Courtyard by Marriott and are slated to offer approximately 100 keys each while sharing a lobby and community spaces. The 135,000-square-foot, five-story, dual-brand property is planned to feature a restaurant and bar, pool, fitness center and meeting space. Upon completion of the dual-brand hotel project, Centerra plans to offer more than 550 guest rooms to support the region’s hospitality needs.
