Although it was reported on public record that Walmart Real Estate Business Trust purchased 169 acres of land just south of the Denver International Airport in July for $13.5 million, Wal-Mart did not respond to requests for comment on what it intends to do with the land. However, Business Journal sources confirmed this will be the site of an e-commerce center meant to compete with Amazon’s 1.4 million square feet of space purchased in Aurora.
