As part of its strategic plan to secure a new location, Denver Community Church(DCC) has sold its 18,155-square-foot location at 1101 S Washington St., in Denver, to Restoration Church for $3.1 million. Transwestern’s team of Kevin McKinnon and Craig Paton represented the DCC in the disposition and Savills’ Todd Roebken represented Restoration Church.
“Denver Community Church has served the Wash Park community for 20 years, and while we continue to welcome our Wash Park family, many who call Denver Community Church home live throughout Denver and beyond the city limits. This created a need to find a location that serves us and our mission better moving forward,” said Jon Gettings, executive pastor for DCC. “As we pursue deeper connection and greater spiritual health in our community, a new location will better address the evolving needs of our community and allow us to serve our city and beyond.”
“Craig and I have been very grateful for the opportunity to support Denver Community Church in transitioning the Washington Park property to a new faith community,” said McKinnon, senior vice president at Transwestern. “We are pleased that Transwestern will continue to serve DCC in the acquisition of their new location. While the search is still underway, we are currently targeting the area between Speer and University Boulevard, which offers excellent proximity to I-25.”
Denver Community Church’s Uptown location at 1595 Pearl St. is currently being marketed for sale by Transwestern. The 23,579-square-foot church is desirably located in North Capitol Hill and includes an 18,920-square-foot parking lot that can be sold with the church or separately. “The accompanying parking lot is ideal for multifamily development, given the red-hot market right now in Denver,” McKinnon noted.
