Denver FBI HQ Sells for $73M

DENVER – The FBI’s Denver headquarters for Colorado and Wyoming is under new ownership. USAA Realty purchased the building for $73 million from London-based independent investment advisory firm 90 North Real Estate Partners, according to public records. JLL brokered the sale.

The four-story, 144,143-square-foot Denver office building, located at 8000 E. 36th Ave. in Stapleton, is LEED-certified and was constructed to an extremely high specification. The long lease to the U.S. Government runs to 2030.

Constructed in 2010 to the US Government’s demanding specification, this state-of-the-art facility occupies a 9.9 acre block site. It comprises 144,143 square feet of office space, 31,012 square feet of ancillary support space and 365 parking spaces.

Matrix Design Group completed the design of the main office building that was designed to allow future expansion of at least 44,000 square feet. Matrix worked with a national design team headed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill.
