Good news for developers — according to the National Multifamily Housing Council, the U.S. will need 4.6 million new apartments by 2030 to meet demand for rental living. In fact, the latest data from Yardi Matrix indicates apartment construction is at a 20-year high and apartment completions are expected to top 345,000 (a 21 percent increase compared to last year).
Denver metro stands out as one of the best performing housing markets: 13,142 new units are scheduled to enter the market by the end of 2017 (18 percent more than last year).
