Denver Union Station is raising funds for 30+ Colorado non-profits with the Making History…Again Black Tie Gala on Saturday, July 13, an opulent evening designed to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the revitalization of downtown Denver’s landmark train station.
Starting at 6 p.m., the gala will feature live music by the Colorado Symphony Quartet and DJ Chris, along with entertainment by renowned local painter Grow Love, live ice carving and more. Revelers can dine on delicious food from Mercantile Dining + Provision, Ultreia, Stoic & Genuine, Terminal Bar, The Cooper Lounge and Snooze, an A.M. Eatery. Guests can enjoy unique activations from each restaurant – Snooze will be serving “Breakfast for Dinner” bites on the patio of their new Denver Union Station location. Mercantile will be hosting cocktail classes, Ultreia will have Paella on the Patio, and Stoic & Genuine will have an ice sculpture with oysters.
Tickets are priced at $500 each, with the non-profits keeping 100% of the proceeds from each ticket that they sell.

Originally opened in 1881, downtown Denver’s historic train station reopened to great fanfare in July 2014 after a $54 million renovation that included the creation of The Crawford Hotel. Today, Denver Union Station is widely recognized as the heart of the Mile High City. It is home to 10 chef-driven restaurants and two retail shops. More than 30,000 people pass through the historic building each day with 70+ RTD trains running daily to/from Denver International Airport.
This July, Denver Union Station will complete an extensive refresh that includes a remodel of all 112 luxurious Crawford guest rooms and a redesign of the bustling Great Hall and The Cooper Lounge.
As part of the 10th-anniversary celebration, Denver Union Station is also hosting two FREE community events:
- Denver Union Station Neighborhood Night: Friday, July 12 from 5 p.m. – 9 p.m.
- Enjoy a fun LoDo evening with a vibrant celebration on the Union Station Wynkoop Plaza featuring a concert by Roger Clyne & the Peacemakers, music by DJ Chris, a 360 photo booth, Ping Pong on the Plaza, food & drink specials and more.
- Denver Union Station Community Day: Sunday, July 14 from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.
- A festive party featuring live music by Denver’s Tunisia, DJ Chris, Paul Borillo and artists from Youth on Record. Families can enjoy rides on the Rocky Mountain Mini Train, face painters, balloon artists and more. The public is invited to experience the newly renovated Denver Union Station Great Hall and the refreshed Crawford Hotel guest rooms.
