EDENS, a leading national retail real estate owner, operator and developer, recently launched The Bird Lot, a temporary activation at 2532 Larimer St. featuring clothing boutiques, artisanal food trucks and other pop-up retailers, adding another vibrant shopping and dining destination to Denver’s RiNo Art District. The Bird Lot will host a series of events and programs throughout the summer, including live music, art installations, and workshops. Open daily from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, visit The Bird Lot website to learn more information about events happening this summer.

While this space is temporary, EDENS is utilizing The Bird Lot this summer to extend EDENS’ retail and placemaking strategies by leveraging national vendors like Krewe to help drive traffic to local concepts like Beach Haus and Commuter Bar (opening soon), as well as rotating food and retail trucks.

“EDENS’ goal for all of our places is to enrich the community by engaging the local neighborhood, and we’re excited to maximize this temporarily vacant space,” said Tom Kiler, EDENS’ managing director, “The Bird Lot will provide another platform to provide access and opportunities for small businesses and emerging brands to showcase their products in a dynamic setting.”

Expanding on their efforts to make RiNo a national renowned retail destination, EDENS has added multiple retail openings to their Denver portfolio within the past year including, ArcteryxPendleton and Paddywax Candle Bar.

The Bird Lot sits on the site of EDENS’ future mixed-use development that will span nearly two city blocks between Lawrence and Larimer Streets. The project will build upon EDENS’ existing 140,000-square-foot RiNo portfolio, reimagining the site as walkable, amenity-rich neighborhood with a variety of community-focused assets. Denver City Council approved EDENS’ rezoning request for the project in June 2022, and construction is expected to begin in 2024.
