The expansive parking surface area between Elitch Gardens and Speer Blvd. is one of the largest remaining areas of open space in downtown Denver, which is why the local investment team, backed by billionaire Stan Kroenke that bought Elitch Gardens in 2015 and Denver planning officials, are exploring redevelopment of the space.
