In October, Encore Electric was recertified as an Accredited Quality Contractor (AQC) by the Associated Builders and Contractors Association (ABC). ABC’s AQC program recognizes merit shop contractors who have demonstrated their leadership in quality and safety in the construction industry.
“We’re proud to once again be named an Accredited Quality Contractor by the ABC,” said Encore Electric President Andy Gordon. “Our commitment to quality and safety is part of our culture at Encore Electric and something all of our teammates take seriously, from our leadership team to our apprentices. This certification is a representation of our team’s commitment to building the best for our customers and communities.”
AQC credentials recognize contractors that have documented their commitment to quality, health and safety performance, talent management, including inclusion, diversity and merit, craft and management education, and community relations. To qualify for the program, AQC recipients must also demonstrate their commitment to exceptional health and safety standards by achieving Gold, Platinum, or Diamond level in the ABC STEP Safety Management System.
“Encore Electric is deeply committed to protecting the health and safety of every team member,” said Encore Electric Director of Health and Safety Mike Callison. “This dedication has earned us a reputation as a leader in the construction industry, setting high standards that others strive to follow.”
Launched in 1993, the AQC program is open to ABC contractor members earning STEP Safety Management System Gold, Platinum or Diamond Levels that have been in business for a minimum of three years.
Contractors that successfully qualify as “Accredited Quality Contractors” are accredited for one year. Member companies must renew each year.To learn more about AQC and see the full list of accredited quality contractors, visit abc.org/aqc.
