Fastwalls Providing Hotel Efficiency in Colorado Springs

Fastwalls supply cold-formed steel (CFS) panels to the new Hilton Garden Inn, Colorado Springs.

COLORADO SPRINGS — Cold-formed steel (CFS) panel producer Fastwalls is pleased to announce that the first panels supplied to the new Hilton Garden Inn project located in Colorado Springs arrived on site during the first week of April.

Under contract to Total Development Corp. and New Vision Hotels, Fastwalls is supplying more than 1,500 CFS panels, excessive of 100,000 square feet, to the new 10-story hotel beginning on the 3rd level. The exterior load-bearing demising wall and corridor wall panels will receive 5/8” sheathing to increase efficiency and enclose the building envelope in a timely fashion.

“This project is distinctive to Fastwalls in that it is one of our first projects to be integrated into our new factory quality assurance program,” says Shop Manager Simon Roy, “Each panel ticket we receive from our engineer is assigned a unique barcode. Our factory staff scan the panel at various checkpoints throughout production which gives our project team access to real-time updates on the status of each panel and greater control over quality assurance.”

Panel production in the Fastwalls factory is expected to be complete by April 30, 2018.
