GH Phipps recently celebrated the successful completion of the Orthopaedic & Spine Center of the Rockies’ Surgery and Recovery Center addition. The general contractor joined the Center’s executive team, staff and members of the surrounding communities for a ribbon cutting and open house.
The 64,000-square-foot surgery and recovery center is located in Loveland and will provide much needed support to the existing surgical facility which performed nearly 6,000 surgeries last year.
Construction began in October 2017 and the new center includes eight operating rooms as well as a reception area, offices, and pre- and post-operative rooms on its main floor. The second floor consists of 21 recovery rooms to accommodate patients who can’t be sent directly home after surgery. Sterile zone restrictions are in place and the staff is hoping that the first surgery will be in late April.
GH Phipps worked with the design team from Loveland-based Infusion Architects. The interior design was completed by Studio Blue Design.
“This was a very fulfilling project for our team and exemplifies our expertise in delivering outstanding medical facilities to the healthcare industry,” said Chad Cleveland, director of Operations for GH Phipps. “Colorado’s growing population is putting greater demand on our local hospitals and medical centers to continue to provide the very best care to patients and their families. We’re proud of our ability to help meet this demand by providing a team of professionals who are able to complete projects on time, on budget and deliver a better building experience.”
