GH Phipps recently joined Brighton Mayor Ken Kreutzer, 27J Schools Superintendent Dr. Chris Fielder, 27J Schools board members, police and fire officials, as well as family and friends, to celebrate the groundbreaking for a new elementary school in the Brighton Crossings neighborhood in Brighton.
The new school will provide a new pre-kindergarten through fifth grade public school for the rapidly growing District, which welcomes more than 500 new students every year. The two-story, 62,000-square-foot building will include 26 classrooms, administrative offices, a gymnasium, kitchen and cafeteria/auditorium. Site amenities will include surface parking, playgrounds and a synthetic turf field.
“GH Phipps takes a great deal of pride in our work delivering outstanding educational facilities to students, families, teachers and neighborhoods throughout the metro area,” said Kent Cohen, project manager. “As the local population continues to grow, we’re ready to provide turnkey construction services to communities that need to address increasing demand for all types of public facilities.”
