After months spent cooped up in our homes because of the pandemic, it’s safe to say the size of our apartment matters. And, oftentimes, it’s not just about the number of bedrooms an apartment has, but how many square feet of space it offers.
A new study from RENTCafé ranks apartments in each of the 30 largest metros by size, to see where renters can find the most living space in their area. In the Denver metro area, Greenwood Village rentals are the most spacious, with an average size of 1,029 square feet.
Here are the highlights:
- Greenwood Village apartments are 185 sq. ft. larger than apartments in the Denver, which average at 844 sq. ft.
- Renters can also find generously-sized apartments, of over 1,000 sq. ft., in Highlands Ranch. In exchange for the extra living space, renters will have to drive a 30-minute commute, under regular traffic conditions, to arrive to Denver.
- When it comes to spacious rentals, Metro Denver is outshining other neighboring metropolitan areas. The largest apartments in Phoenix Metro average at 991 sq. ft., and can be found in Surprise, AZ.
