Ground Breaking: CSU Veterinary Health and Education Complex

The JE Dunn team at the CSU Vet School groundbreaking.

On May 2, JE Dunn Construction celebrated the groundbreaking of Colorado State University’s new Veterinary Health and Education Complex. This milestone marks the commencement of a $230 million transformative project aimed at addressing the critical shortage of veterinary health experts and enhancing educational opportunities in this field.

The project entails an 189,564-square-foot addition to the existing JL Voss Veterinary School. This new complex will not only meet the growing demand for skilled professionals but also propel CSU’s world-class program, shaping the future of veterinary medicine. The event, attended by CSU leadership, the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences faculty, staff, and alumni, and Colorado Governor, Jared Polis, symbolizes a significant step forward in advancing veterinary education and practice, not just in Colorado but across the rapidly expanding veterinary market.

JE Dunn is honored to serve as the general contractor for this project, building on the successful completion of the neighboring C. Wayne McIlwraith Translational Medicine Institute (TMI). Working alongside CSU and esteemed partners such as Clark & Enersen, the architect, and Tetrad, the owner’s representative, JE Dunn is
committed to delivering a state-of-the-art facility that will inspire future generations of veterinary professionals.

“Colorado State University’s veterinary education program is world-renowned. The compassion and advocacy they provide for animals regionally, and professionals they train extending that throughout the world, is second to none and we are thrilled to partner with them in support of their mission. This facility endeavors to build on the foundations they’ve established and continue to enhance the impact CSU has on veterinary care for decades to come.” – Caleb Jones, JE Dunn senior project manager.
