Construction has begun on the Sky Ridge Station Apartments, a new 240-unit apartment complex situated on the last parcel of land at the Sky Ridge Station transit-oriented development (TOD) site. The seven-story apartment complex, which includes two levels of parking, is adjacent to several large employers in the area including the Sky Ridge Medical Center, Charles Schwab and Kiewit’s future regional headquarters. Construction is scheduled to be complete Fall 2022.
The apartments are being built by a joint venture featuring Colorado-based Regency Partners (as the general partner) and Coventry Development Corporation,
“These apartments are an ideal addition to Sky Ridge Station and help fill the need for higher density, urban style apartments at an attainable price,” said Keith Simon, executive vice president and director of development for Coventry Development Corporation. “This comes at a perfect time for RidgeGate as the West side is nearly built out, and we are continuing to see many new residents to the area thanks to the numerous employers here as well as the overall connectivity of the community and the 2019 opening of RTD’s Southeast Light Rail Extension. With the access to the rail and also the Lone Tree Link On Demand free shuttle, residents can realistically be much less dependent on owning and using a car.”
The $80 million project will feature a modern, podium style design and will offer units ranging in size from 544 square feet to 1,121 square feet. The units will be a mix of one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments with market-leading finishes including stainless steel appliances, quartz countertops, walk in closets, and private balconies. The goal is to provide high quality housing with direct adjacency to some of the community’s largest employers and sustainable transit.
The apartments are being built using the Prescient all steel building technology that is highly precise, streamlined and creates less waste. They will feature a wide variety of modern amenities including a pool with viewing deck, outdoor kitchen and fireplace, a large dog park, creative co-working spaces, leading fitness center and yoga studio, rooftop deck with mountain views, community recycling program including designated recycling chutes, Luxor package delivery systems with cold storage, securitized entry controls, and 1,500 square feet of ground floor retail and gathering spaces. Further, the project is being designed with innovative health and safety features.
“The podium design and overall architecture of the project offers a modern, urban appeal unlike anything else available in the area–with incredible views of the mountains from the units as well as the rooftop deck,” said Jim Francescon, vice president of Regency Partners. “With immediate access to restaurants / retail, employment, light rail transportation and green space in addition to the innovative health and safety features we have programed, Sky Ridge Station Apartments will offer residents a well-amenitized lifestyle and healthy quality of life.”
