A groundbreaking celebration was held last week for The View at Castle Rock, a $70 million project that will include 221 apartments, 14,242 square feet of office space and 5,000 square feet of retail space. The six-story project is located at Sixth and Jerry Streets and is expected to generate $6.2 million in new tax revenues for the Town of Castle Rock through 2038. The developer for this project is Castle Rock View Investors, which consists of Block Real Estate Services, Sunflower Development Group and First Construction. CT Design is the architect and Vertix Builders is the general contractor.
The View is a redevelopment project that is a public-private partnership that includes the Town of Castle Rock, the Downtown Development Authority and Castle Rock Development. The 201,000-square-foot, mixed-use development will also include a 399-space parking structure, which will provide 100 new spaces for visitors and patrons of downtown Castle Rock. The development is scheduled for completion in 2024.
Additional highlights include:
-
Loft units on the top floor of the building
-
Close proximity to other new downtown Castle Rock developments
-
Additional downtown retail storefronts.
-
The redevelopment of an outdated storage facility
-
Luxury Amenities, which include lap pool, fitness, dog-park and golf simulator
“We’re looking forward to delivering an outstanding mixed-use development to downtown Castle Rock that will provide exceptional residential units, Class A office space and new retail opportunities to the people who call Castle Rock home,” said Mark and Julie Heath, partners for the project. “The View will be an excellent addition to downtown, that will contribute to the vitality and growth of the town.”
