American fast casual restaurant chain Shake Shack has announced plans to open its highest elevation Shack in the country this fall in Colorado Springs. The Interquest Shack (9723 Federal Dr.) will have an expansive patio, a drive-thru, and a Colorado-exclusive menu item. This marks Colorado’s 10th Shack Shake location and the southernmost Colorado location to date.
Aria Group is the architect for the new location with interior furniture provided by Crow Works.
“We are thrilled to bring our first Shake Shack to Colorado Springs on Interquest Parkway,” said Andrew McCaughan, chief development officer of Shake Shack. “We welcome this rapidly growing community to come take advantage of all the Shake Shack classics on our beautiful patio or at our drive-thru for those on the go.”
Shake Shack, a New York City-founded eatery, is famous for serving elevated versions of American classics using only the best ingredients. It’s known for its delicious made-to-order Angus beef burgers, crispy chicken, hand-spun milkshakes, house-made lemonades, and more. The Interquest Shack will also offer the Colorado-exclusive Green Chile CheddarShack – featuring white Cheddar, scallions, and marinated green chiles. With its high-quality food at great value, warm hospitality, and a commitment to crafting uplifting experiences, Shake Shack quickly became a cult brand with widespread appeal.
The 3,200-square-foot Interquest Shack will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. daily for in-shack dining, drive-thru, and to-go orders. A portion of the proceeds from the grand opening will be donated to Colorado Springs-based Care and Share Food Bank, a partner food bank of Feeding America that provides nourishing meals to neighbors in need across 29 counties in Southern Colorado.
Last year, Shake Shack opened the Greenwood Village Shack, featuring the state’s first drive-up pickup, and the Castle Rock Shack, featuring the state’s first drive-thru.
