Howell Construction Completes Floors & Doors Hangar Development

Howell Construction recently completed Floors & Doors’ 20,000-square-foot private hangar with attached 10,000-square-foot office building in Centennial. The hangar building was designed and manufactured by Butler Manufacturing and featured a 195-foot clear span and 35-foot-tall sectional rolling hangar door. The sliding aircraft doors, designed and manufactured by Door Engineering, utilized four motors to allow for multiple opening options. The overall project was designed by TreanorHL.

The office building was constructed to house the client’s business, as well as a vehicle garage for four cars with overhead space for lifts. It features open ceilings, barnwood accent features and overhead doors for entertaining on the patio. The building also includes custom garages for the owners to work on their car collection. The office building is clad in metal panel siding for a modern aesthetic.

Howell also performed site development, which involved a new parking lot, site utilities, and extension of the airport taxiway. Due to expansive soil conditions encountered on the site, the subgrade was over excavated and treated to a depth of eight feet.

All work was coordinated with airport authority to ensure security and safety for aircraft and Airport Operations were kept apprised of all construction activities.

“We want to thank the Floors and Doors ownership group for the pleasure of working with them, and TreanorHL for another successful project.” said Dan Vickers, vice president for Howell Construction.
