Howell Construction has been selected by Aurora Mental Health Center (AuMHC) as their construction manager and general contractor for a program of projects being constructed over several years. AuMHC is a private non-profit organization that has been providing mental health services since 1975, operating through thirteen separate facilities located across Aurora.

Last year Howell provided preconstruction services and construction services for the renovation of the Alameda Center, the first facility renovation in the program. Howell provided preconstruction services in 2020 then began construction earlier this year on the 1st and 5th floors of The Stith Center, a 25,000-square-foot renovation scheduled for completion in Q2 2021. Cuningham Group Architecture designed each of the spaces.

It is Howell’s goal to provide a comfortable, safe, patient-centered environment through each of these occupied renovation projects. Howell’s “invisible construction” approach ensures patients, family and staff have a positive experience at each AuMHC facility undergoing construction.

“We are honored to be Aurora Mental Health Center’s building partner for these essential projects. We look forward to continuing our relationship with AuMHC by providing ‘Always Great Performance,’ our brand promise to our clients.” said Marcus Pickworth, project manager for Howell.

Howell has provided budget pricing for an exterior renovation project at Aurora Mental Health Center’s Alameda location, and budgeted an inpatient/office combination project at their Potomac location.
