Baseline—the 1,100-acre McWhinney master-planned community in Broomfield—recently celebrated the official opening of its newest 238-unit multifamily asset, Inkwell Apartments. Pre-leasing began earlier this year, and the project is experiencing strong interest. First resident move-ins are set to start in early May.
Inkwell Apartments offers a wide range of options for renters, including one-, two-, and three-bedroom units from 684 to 1,691 square feet. The community additionally features a variety of amenities, including a resort-style saltwater pool with a hot tub; a 24-hour, two-story fitness center with a yoga room; a golf simulator bay; 24-hour package lockers with refrigerated storage; a pet wash station; and ski, snowboard, and bike storage with repair stations. Inkwell residents can also enjoy access to Baseline’s extensive trail network, parks, local shops, and dining options—all within walking distance.
“With Inkwell Apartments, we’re enhancing the variety of housing choices available at Baseline, meeting the needs of today’s renters who are seeking both quality and convenience,” said Kyle Harris, senior vice president of master-planned communities. “As housing demand continues to exceed supply in metro Denver, we’re proud to offer high-quality rental options that fit seamlessly within our vision for Baseline.”
The new Inkwell community reflects Baseline’s vision of blending urban living with nature. In 2024, Baseline advanced its goal of creating a walkable, nature-centered environment, introducing new parks, gathering spaces, and residential offerings. Key milestones included the completion of the first phase of the 62-acre Parklands, marked by the opening of the Big Green and Little Green. Baseline also launched Park Lane, a Dutch-inspired “woonerf” street in the East Village, and welcomed new home models from Boulder Creek and Dream Finders at Parkside West. Pre-leasing also began for for-rent townhomes at The Finley.
“Together, these milestones reflect our ongoing commitment to creating a complete, sustainable community where residents can thrive,” added Harris. “Baseline’s mix of thoughtfully designed housing options, parks, and public spaces connects people to nature and modern conveniences, offering something for every lifestyle.”
