Invesco Advisers Purchases 186,231 SF Office Building in Broomfield for $47.1M

BROOMFIELD, COInvesco Advisers has purchased a 186,231-square-foot office building in Broomfield for $47.1 million. The building is located at 105 Edgeview Drive.

The asset is fully leased, with the anchor tenant being Gogo, an in-flight internet and entertainment provider. The newly built property, known as Gogo Building at Interlocken, was developed by Hines and designed by Forum Architects. It is the first phase of Hines’ EOS at Interlocken office campus development. Newmark Knight Frank represented Hines in this transaction.

The project achieved LEED Platinum. Its location in Broomfield was ideal for the high thermal mass walls and the project easily exceeded the minimum energy code requirements using rooftop unit HVAC system. Additional sustainable features include a photovoltaic array on the roof, electric car charging stations, reclaimed beetle kill wood pine wall panels at the lobby, and water-saving plumbing fixtures.

Congratulations on your new purchase. I have a question about this Broomfield area building—what do you mean by “high thermal mass wall.” What is it and what does it do? I know that there are a number of technological advances in building materials and in tech and am curious about the latest and greatest.
