International Workplace Group (IWG), the world’s largest provider of hybrid working solutions with brands including SpacesRegus, and HQ, is adding six state-of-the-art flexible workspaces in the Denver metropolitan area and in Colorado Springs, bringing IWG’s footprint in the state to a total of 41 flexible workspaces. As the adoption of hybrid working rapidly accelerates across the U.S., the centers are designed to shorten Coloradans’ commutes and provide increased flexibility to work in the communities they reside in.

IWG’s new locations in the Centennial State come on the heels of the business posting its highest-ever revenue in its 35-year history and achieving rapid network growth, with the addition of 867 new locations over the course of 2023. By bringing high-quality office spaces to Colorado, IWG is enabling local workers to experience the ‘15-minute city,’ in which employees can forgo lengthy commutes to instead work from office spaces closer to where they live, whether they are in the city, in the suburbs or in rural communities.

IWG’s new Colorado locations reflect the growing demand for flexible workspaces in both urban cities and smaller, suburban communities over the past several years. The new flexible workspaces will serve every type of hybrid worker with clients spanning established firms and start-ups across Colorado’s top industries, including advanced manufacturing, aerospace, bioscience and electronics. IWG’s Design Your Own Office service allows companies, regardless of industry, to tailor their space entirely to their unique requirements.

The six new centers will include facilities including private offices, meeting rooms, co-working and creative spaces in the following urban and suburban markets across Colorado:

The building owners of these locations decided to invest in the IWG platform to maximize the return on their real estate space by capitalizing on the rapidly expanding demand for hybrid working. IWG invests approximately $64 million into its technology platform each year and provides partners with access to all the company’s expertise as well as design and fit-out support and sales and marketing capabilities.

With explosive market growth as companies of all sizes adopt hybrid working for the long-term, it is predicted that 30% of all commercial real estate will be flexible workspace by 2030. With IWG, partners are able to capitalize on this fast-growing sector, while being supported by IWG’s unparalleled experience. Hybrid working offers companies a significantly lower cost base with an average saving of $11,000 per employee.

IWG is the world’s leading provider of flexible workspace – featuring more than 4,000 locations in more than 120 countries and members are able to access all of the locations and business services via the IWG app.

As the ongoing shift towards hybrid working accelerates, the potential for further growth is exponential with an estimated 1.2 billion white collar workers globally and a total addressable market of more than $2 trillion. Conventional office occupancy will continue to fall as businesses require less traditional space and turn to flexible workspace instead. In 2023, IWG welcomed over 800 new partner locations and counts 83% of Fortune 500 companies among its customer base.

Mark Dixon, CEO & founder of IWG, commented: “The rapid uptick of hybrid working is transforming the world of work for companies of all sizes and their employees. Workers no longer need to endure long and costly commutes daily, and at IWG, we’re focusing on providing state-of-the-art workplaces in the heart of local communities that empower people to work closer to home.”

“Our research has shown that reduced commute times have positive impacts on employee wellbeing and happiness, as well as the environment. As hybrid working becomes the new normal for many and the need for high-quality flexible workspaces continues to soar, the Colorado market is a fantastic place for us to boost our expansion plans and to meet more employees where they live and want to be.”
