The University of Colorado Boulder’s East Campus is now the home of the Sustainability, Energy and Environment Complex (SEEC) that renovated the existing 289,000 SF MacAllister Building to connect with the new 142,000 SF SEEC building that will serve as a multidisciplinary energy and environment research facility. The project was designed as LEED Gold “plus” and has the potential of reaching LEED Platinum status. Key team members for the sustainable aspects of the project included JE Dunn as the contractor, gkkworks as the architect, Cator Ruma & Associates as the mechanical designer.
