The Denver and Minneapolis offices of Lee & Associates recently announced the sale of a 128,100-square-foot manufacturing facility in Pueblo. Ron Webert with Lee Denver and Chris Garcia with Lee Minneapolis represented the buyer, Russ Davis Wholesale, a Minneapolis based fresh fruit and produce distributor.
The building, once home to the Mars Company, Petcare Division, was owned by the Pueblo Economic Development Co. (PEDCO). PEDCO purchased the building in 2016 from Mars.
“Russ Davis was looking for a distribution center in the Denver metro area, but was unable to find a facility for sale that met all their requirements, so we expanded our search north and south of Denver,” explained Webert. “This facility met all the criteria, and with the economic incentives being offered by Pueblo, it was a home run.”
This facility will serve as Russ Davis’s main distribution facility to serve customers in Colorado in addition to New Mexico. Russ Davis plans to hire 100 employees in the first few years, growing that count to 150 by 2021.
