BOULDER – Chicago-based coworking space firm Level Office, is expanding into Boulder with the purchase of a three-story building at 1495 Canyon Boulevard. The company plans to renovate the building to provide modern and affordable workspace. Leasing is already underway for private offices and coworking memberships at the center, which will open in summer 2018.
The architect and GC for the renovation is Tenant Planning Services, Inc.
Level Office provides fully-furnished, technology-equipped, and affordable workspace to small businesses, entrepreneurs, and enterprise companies. Coworking and private office users get direct fiber internet, all utilities, access to communal lounge areas with amenities such as an espresso bar, local beer on tap, and community events included in rent.
Built in 1975, the 22,533-square-foot building features three floors of offices and an adjacent parking lot. By purchasing the buildings where it operates, Level Office is able to invest in infrastructure improvements including fiber internet, all while keeping rents lower than competitors. The building’s seller, U.S. Bank, will continue to lease space in the building.
“We are drawn by Boulder’s supportive environment for small businesses,” Bennett said. “The city’s strong economic growth and diverse mix of entrepreneurs makes it an ideal place for a Level Office location.”
Boulder is Level Office’s second Colorado location; the company purchased 1630 Welton Street in Denver in June 2017.
