BASECAMP Market Station is welcoming two new outdoor retailers: Helly Hansen, a leading global ski and outdoor brand, and Aktiv, a sustainable Scandinavian clothing and outdoor wear company.
Located at 1415 16th St., the new Helly Hansen flagship store at BASECAMP Market Station opened earlier this summer with nearly 3,000 square feet of space carrying a wide range of technical ski, outdoor and lifestyle apparel and footwear. This new downtown Denver location joins 12 Helly Hansen brand stores across the U.S. and Canada, including locations in Boulder and Breckenridge.
“We were very excited to open our first store in Denver, a city that has long been at the heart of outdoor adventure,” says Paul Gillen, VP DTC, Helly Hansen. “This store is a key step in our commitment to the Denver community and the wider outdoor and winter sports market. Expanding into strategic locations like Denver allows us to deepen our connection with existing customers, while also introducing Helly Hansen to new audiences.”
Aktiv will open at BASECAMP Market Station this month, carrying high-quality, Nordic activewear for yoga, running, and skiing. Located at 1641 Market St #110, the 1,260-square-foot space will feature clothing from Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden that are beautifully designed, responsibly produced, and durable.
Other new retailers that will open at BASECAMP Market Station this winter will include The Glass House Optical, a female-owned luxury optical boutique, and an Xfinity Store by Comcast.
BASECAMP Market Station is home to a wide variety of retailers who share a passion for the outdoors, including Thule, Danner, Topo Designs and Foreign Rider Co. The destination hosts a wide variety of community events, including film screenings, art shows, running celebrations and more.
