Generation Development, a leader in real estate development in Denver, has broken ground on its latest condominium project: Marieta. Located at the corner of 17th and Washington Streets in the Uptown neighborhood, the five-story Marieta will offer 35 for-sale residential units as well as 2,500 square feet of ground floor commercial space. Sales will launch later this year with completion of the project anticipated in mid-2024.

Marieta will offer a mix of 1-bedroom/1-bath and 2-bedroom/2 bath residences ranging in size from 500 to 1,500 square feet. Some units include oversized private terraces or roof decks ranging in size from roughly 200 to 600 square feet. The design includes a purposely carved lightwell into the center of the building, ascending four stories to allow light to flood into the corridors. The interiors feature warm wood tones. Pricing will start in the low $400’s.

The architect is Bryant Flink Architecture + Design (BFAD) and interior designer is Gala Stude Interiors. The general contractor on the project is Generation Constructors, Generation Development’s in-house firm.

“Residences priced under $500k are hard to come by in Denver these days so we are really excited to bring Marieta to market,” said Chris Lonigro, president of Generation Development. “Along with the price point, the best amenity of Marieta will be its location including its proximity to downtown and the walkability to many of Denver’s best restaurants, bars, coffee and retail shops.”

In addition to breaking ground on Marieta, Generation Development recently completed construction of The Arbory, a 41-unit condominium project in City Park West. The company’s portfolio of urban communities will total 202 homes once Marieta is complete.

Founded in 2009, Generation Development focuses on acquiring and developing in neighborhoods throughout the Denver metro area. With a passion for creating buildings that help evolve Denver as a city without taking away from its unique charm, Generation Development uses modern design and innovative building solutions to create desirable units at attainable price points.
