DENVER – MAX Construction, Inc., a Denver-based tenant finish construction firm, and Venture Architecture, a Denver-based firm specializing in discovery-focused design and delivery, recently completed a 40,000-square-foot remodel of SRC Energy’s corporate headquarters located at 1675 Broadway in downtown Denver.
SRC Energy engages in the acquisition, exploitation, exploration, development, and production of oil and natural gas assets primarily located in the Wattenberg Field in the Denver-Julesburg Basin in northeast Colorado.
“This project enabled MAX Construction, Inc. and Venture to work in seamless unity to create a unique work environment for SRC Energy’s corporate headquarters,” said Mark McGann, vice
president of MAX Construction.
One of the defining features and focal points of the space is the addition of a new staircase that allows for convenient access to the suite’s second and third levels. MAX Construction and Venture collaborated to design and construct the new stair to sit directly on top of an existing stair that connects the first and second levels. Sleek light features that resemble charges used during fracking drilling operations surround the multi-floor staircase as a subtle reference to the company’s field operations.
“Creating the right space for SRC Energy required getting to know the company’s culture and long-term vision,” said Martin Goldstein, principal of Venture. “As a result, we designed and delivered a space that not only celebrates where they’ve been, but also where they’re going.”
Venture provided dynamic aesthetics by blending drop ceilings in the offices alongside exposed ceilings in public spaces, such as the hallways, conference rooms and main lobby.
