Denver, CO – Sean Fitzgerald joins McCarthy Building Companies as a Project Manager in the Denver office. Fitzgerald joins the team from the new hospital called Project Legacy for the Department of Veterans Affairs being constructed by McCarthy in New Orleans. The company’s Denver office continues to grow after opening in 2015.
“We’re excited to have Sean join the McCarthy team in Denver,” said Katy Corrigan, Director of Business Development in Denver. “With over 12 years of working for McCarthy on complex projects he has a demonstrated passion for our partners, clients and most importantly construction.”
Fitzgerald is familiar with working with large teams, and has a track record of exceeding project goals for safety, quality, budget and schedule. He has worked on projects such as the Scripps Prebys Cardiovascular Institute in San Diego, CA; and Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Orange, CA. Fitzgerald holds the LEED AP BD+ Certification from the U.S. Green Building Council and has been recognized with multiple project awards throughout his career.
“Working in construction, you have an opportunity to partner with so many people with diverse backgrounds and experiences,” said Fitzgerald. “But nothing feels better than seeing a project through to completion that is on budget and exceeds the projects goals.”
Fitzgerald specializes in healthcare and is well versed in other aspects of the construction process including risk management, contract negotiation & management, logistics planning, pre-Construction and budget management/cost control. A Colorado native, Fitzgerald is excited to be returning home and looking forward to cultivating relationships within the Denver community.
