Brown Palace Appoints New Director of Sales and Marketing

The Brown Palace Hotel & Spa, has appointed Ann Sutherland Lynchas Complex director of sales & marketing of the 241-room iconic landmark and the adjacent 231-room Holiday Inn Express Denver Downtown, part of The Brown Palace hotel complex. In this role, Ann will generate maximum revenue through developing and executing strategies that foster marketing efforts, as well as drive sales for this multi-faceted hotel.

Lynch brings more than 25+ years of specific focus in the luxury hospitality segment combined with robust Colorado experience.

Joseph Larkin, CCIM, MCR, SIOR, SLCR of First Realty, Inc in Denver, will serve as the 2019 chapter president of the Colorado Chapter of CoreNet Global.

CoreNet Global is the world’s leading association for corporate real estate with the primary goal to advance the practice of corporate real estate through professional development opportunities, publications, research, conferences, designations and networking locally and globally.

Cushman & Wakefield announced this week that the firm has hired Erik Petersen as its new director of Project & Development Services in Denver. Erik will be leading Denver’s Project & Development Services Group. He brings consistent client results as he manages projects with a strategic and methodical approach, ensuring consistent delivery of the group’s best-in-class services. His proven expertise rests with listening to his client’s business objectives and managing to their strategic goals with a positive team approach.

Erik brings more than 18 years of successful multi-disciplinary industry experience across construction and development along with other pertinent areas of commercial construction in Real Estate. His background consists of representing a large Occupier client as a single point of contact directing a team of professional and global projects focused in North America. Additionally, he held a lead role as a player/coach with both strategic capital planning and tactical project delivery responsibilities.

Prior to Cushman & Wakefield, Erik served as a Global Real Estate Leader with a global fortune 500 electronics firm where he was directly responsible for managing the capital budgets with tenant improvements and lease transactions for the Americas.

Abby Garel promoted to Property Manager at Western Development Group

Western Development Group, the developer of several successful projects in Cherry Creek North, announced the promotion of Abby Garel to property manager.  Abby will be responsible for managing the company’s owned-assets as well as the third-party portfolio for Wester Asset Services, the property management division of Western Development Group.

Abby joined Western Development Group in 2017 as an assistant property manager following several years in the financial sector.  Since that time  she has supported the day-to-day building operations along with tenant relations, budgeting and financial reporting Western’s 250,000-square-foot portfolio.
