Small Giants Names Construction Industry Veteran Tracy Sorano as Managing Director of Denver Office

Small Giants, LLC., a growing creative marketing agency with offices in Phoenix and Denver, recently hired national construction firm veteran Tracy Sorano to serve as the managing director of the company’s Denver office. Sorano will lead marketing and business development efforts out of the Small Giants office, which is centrally located in the Associated General Contractors of Colorado building at 686 Mariposa St. in Denver.

Sorano comes to Small Giants with 27 years of marketing and business development experience within the architecture, engineering, and general contracting industry. Most recently, she spent 10 years as the director of marketing & communications for Haselden Construction and HRS Restoration Services, a subsidiary of Haselden based in Centennial, Colorado. Her career in the construction industry began with M.A. Mortenson Company where she spent 17 years in the role of director of business development and director of marketing, respectively. She then transitioned to serve as director of business development for Arnold & O’Sheridan Consulting Engineers and then took that same role at Blinderman Construction.

Her unique experiences as both a marketing executive and a business development professional will be valuable as she guides Small Giants and its national portfolio of clients to grow their brands to new levels.

 

Ware Malcomb Announces Promotion of Rob Kiester to Director, Architecture in Denver Office

Ware Malcomb, an award-winning international design firm, announced that Rob Kiester has been promoted to director,  Architecture, in the firm’s Denver office. In the role, he will lead the Architecture Studio in the Denver office.

Kiester, a licensed architect in Colorado and California, has more than 12 years of experience in the architecture field leading significant projects from initial master planning and design stages through construction completion. His experience includes industrial, office, public, retail and restaurant project types.

In 2016, Kiester joined Ware Malcomb as a project manager and, in 2018, was promoted to studio manager, architecture, while also leading the Denver office’s Advanced Manufacturing Studio. He is engaged in Ware Malcomb’s business development efforts, both locally and regionally, and has diversified the firm’s Colorado portfolio with new life science and multifamily projects. Kiester champions the application of advanced technology, including Revit, Enscape, Twin Motion and drone videos, creating new opportunities with clients and positioning the Denver office at the leading edge of technological expertise in the region.

Kiester earned a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Brigham Young University and a Master of Architecture from University of Colorado. He is certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards.

 

Cushman & Wakefield Adds John Covert to Rocky Mountain Residential Land Service

Cushman & Wakefield announced that John Covert has joined the firm as a director in Denver, where he will be a member of the firm’s newly formed Rocky Mountain Residential Land Services.

Covert’s background has included a variety of work across the residential sector, including single-family residential development, lot and land acquisition, land development, consulting, urban planning, municipal/regional economic development, business development, client engagement, expert speaking events, data and housing economics, strategic planning, and more.

Cushman & Wakefield’s Rocky Mountain Residential Land Services comprises established professionals Mike Kboudi, Wade Fletcher, Joey Dybevik and John Covert. The group specializes in residential land consulting, acquisitions and dispositions, focusing primarily on the mountain states of Colorado, Idaho, Utah, and Wyoming.

Prior to Cushman & Wakefield, Covert worked at Zonda (formerly Hanley Wood, Metrostudy) where he most recently served the role of principal advisory, and previous a senior regional director for the West Region. Prior to joining Zonda, he was a research manager for the Denver and Salt Lake offices of The Meyers Group.

Covert has a bachelor’s degree in land use and a Master of Business Administration with an emphasis in marketing and is active in industry events hosted by the various Homebuilder Associations in Colorado. He has served on the Board of Directors for The Home Builders Association of Metro Denver from 2006 to 2014, currently sits on the HomeAid Colorado Board (President 2024), is a committee member for the Colorado ULI Community Development Council, and member of the CSU Everitt Real Estate School Advisory Board. He is also a member of the Children’s Diabetes Foundation and Barbara Davis Center Guild.

 

Tributary Real Estate Appoints Ryan Peirona as Analyst

Tributary Real Estate, a fully integrated commercial real estate firm based in Colorado, recently hired Ryan Peirona as a full-time analyst.

“Having worked closely with Ryan prior to offering him a full-time position, we knew early on he would make an incredible addition to our team,” said Amy Aldridge, partner at Tributary. “Ryan brings passion, drive and charisma, along with an aptitude for financial analysis that will support our brokerage team in developing sound strategies for our clients.”

Prior to joining the Tributary team full-time, he served in a part-time capacity for six months while attending the University of Colorado Boulder. He graduated in December with a bachelor’s degree in economics and a minor in business.
