Suter Media Relations Marks 30 Years in Business

Suter Media Relations, a Denver-based media relations firm specializing in generating publicity for real estate companies and professional businesses, marks 30 years in business this year. The firm was started in 1993 by Paul Suter, a Denver native who grew up in Park Hill, attended Manual High School (class of 1984), and graduated from the University of Denver (class of 1989) prior to launching a career in media relations.

Suter continues to represent some of the most outstanding and respected companies in Colorado. The firm has helped bring significant press attention to multiple new and existing real estate developments, projects, companies and interests throughout Denver and Colorado. Strong and respected relationships with the media, combined with creative and newsworthy approaches, continue to result in positive and consistent press attention for clients.

During his career, Suter was named one of Denver’s “Forty under Forty” young business professionals by the Denver Business Journal and was also named an “Outstanding Graduate of the Denver Public Schools.” He serves on the Board of Directors for Fairmount Cemetery, is a past member of the National Association of Real Estate Editors a past member of the Development Council Mount Saint Vincent Home for Children, contributes to multiple non-profits and foundations, and along with his wife Ilene is a proud host of students from Dalian, China and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.

In his free time, Suter enjoys traveling with his wife Ilene, playing tennis, camping, fly fishing, skiing, hiking, or just soaking in the Colorado sunshine.

 

Northmarq’s Denver Office Welcomes Development Expert Lindsey Fahey as Vice President

Northmarq’s Colorado office has announced the addition of Lindsey Fahey, vice president. Fahey brings more than 15 years of experience in land and development transactions for a variety of asset types. In her new role, Fahey is responsible for sourcing, valuation, marketing strategy development, and sales execution of land development sites in the Colorado region. She will work closely with the Northmarq multifamily investment sales and debt/equity teams in the Denver market to provide clients with capital market solutions through the development life cycle.

“I am extremely excited to begin the next chapter of my career with Northmarq at this pivotal time in the real estate market. I was attracted to the strength of the existing capital markets platform at Northmarq and their Denver office and look forward to bringing my expertise as a land broker to the team for existing and future clients,” said Fahey.

Prior to joining Northmarq, Fahey served as vice president of acquisitions at Cypress Equity Investments in Denver where she was responsible for sourcing and analyzing new multifamily development opportunities and existing multifamily asset acquisitions throughout Colorado. Fahey also spent 11 years with JLL on the Capital Markets land brokerage team in both the Colorado and Chicago markets.

“The market is clearly shifting, which for Northmarq has traditionally presented excellent opportunities to expand market share and reach,” said David Martin, managing director. “We are especially excited to have Lindsey join the Northmarq Denver Investment Sales team as our clients will substantively benefit from her expertise in multifamily land development.”

Fahey holds an MBA in real estate finance from DePaul University and a BA in urban and regional planning from the University of Illinois. She is a licensed real estate broker in the state of Colorado. Fahey has also been awarded the 2019 NAIOP Investment Sale of the Year in Chicago for the sale of the McDonald’s Global and Regional headquarter properties for redevelopment in Oak Brook, Illinois.

 

Katherine Freeman Named Operating Group Safety Director for Mortenson Denver

Mortenson, a top-20 U.S. builder, developer and energy and engineering services provider with four decades of experience serving Denver, announced the addition of Katherine Freeman as the Denver Operating Group safety director.

“We believe having a strong safety culture speaks to the level of quality our customers can expect from working with us,” said Brian Fitzpatrick, vice president and general manager at Mortenson. “Kathy brings not only a high level of safety expertise, but she also brings passion and care in a way that increases buy-in and improves adoption. We look forward to the contributions she’ll be able to make to the team.”

In her role, Freeman will be a valuable leader in operations and responsible for implementing Mortenson’s Zero Injury Safety program to ensure every team member goes home safely. Freeman will lead the Operating Group Safety resources and support project teams with site-specific safety. While overseeing Company Safety directives, she’ll also lead the continued education of all Mortenson Denver team members.

Prior to Mortenson, Freeman was the executive vice president of safety at another local construction firm where she led initiatives to establish policies related to operation and risk mitigation, resulting in increased employee morale and performance. She also developed and implemented an Early Intervention and Injury Management program that proved highly successful.

 

Kairoi Residential Announces Promotion and the Addition of a New Employee

Kairoi Residential, a premier, vertically integrated, multifamily investment, development and property management company, announced that Lynsee Mann has been promoted to Colorado regional support coordinator and Amanda Young has joined Kairoi as a regional manager.

Lynsee was previously a senior community director for Kairoi after joining the company more than two years ago. In her role, she will support the site teams with training, staffing assistance and transition communities. She is an experienced property manager, specializing in the luxury lease-up sector. Lynsee’s ability to develop meaningful relationships with residents and teams alike stems from a background in the retail and hospitality industries for over a decade. With a passion for brand curation, service experience and social media, Lynsee’s accolades include receiving the 1% Brand Management ORA honors 2020 as well as the Kairoi RemarKable Award 2021. Lynsee holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the University of Montana.

Amanda is joining Kairoi with years of experience in the Denver market, client relations, and leading marketing and leasing teams. With a passion for people, processes, and building relationships, Amanda is looking forward to jumping in and helping Kairoi achieve all future goals. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Fashion Merchandising with a Minor in Marketing as well as a Master’s Degree in Sports Management from the University of Southern Mississippi.
