CBRE Promotes Katie Benefield to Sales Director for the Colorado Region

CBRE has promoted Katie Benefield to the position of sales director, Investor Services. In this role, Ms. Benefield is responsible for leading the sales management platform for CBRE’s five Colorado offices as well as driving increased market share and organizational growth for CBRE Capital Markets, Investor Leasing and Retail Services.

“Katie has worn many hats during her tenure at CBRE and consistently excels in whatever challenge or opportunity she faces. Our professionals, clients and organization as a whole are all poised to benefit from her expanded role as she accelerates her leadership in the investor space,” said Pete Schippits, senior managing director of CBRE’s Mountain States.

Ms. Benefield’s primary focus is growing the business by creating connectivity between CBRE’s professionals and the firm’s ever-expanding platform of services and tech-driven resources.

In 2015, Ms. Benefield spearheaded the launch of CBRE’s investor sales management organization in Colorado. Prior to that role, she served as Capital Markets operations manager with CBRE’s Joint Venture and Structured Capital Services. Before joining CBRE, Ms. Benefield worked in sales management for Ecolab and in marketing for the investment bank Piper Jaffray, both in Minnesota. She holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Denver and a bachelor’s degree from Gustavus Adolphus College in Minnesota.

Ms. Benefield is an active member of the Urban Land Institute, NAIOP and the University of Denver Burns School of Real Estate alumni network. She is based in CBRE’s downtown Denver office.

Sr. Preconstruction Manager – Laura Hoff

Laura graduated from the University of Nebraska Lincoln with a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management and has over 15 years of experience in the Colorado construction industry. Her project experience includes a wide variety of markets; such as healthcare, hospitality, education, office, and multifamily. Notable projects she has worked on include: W Aspen, S’PARK development in Boulder, St. Thomas Moore remodel,  Exempla Saint Joseph Heritage Project, Denver Health MOB, 1800 Larimer/Xcel, American Academy, Limon K-12 School, and the ART Hotel. Laura is actively involved in the DBIA & AGC, she is also the chairman for the annual DBIA Rocky Mountain Region sporting clay tournament. Laura was also recently the recipient of an ENR top 20 under 40 award.

Tonya Padilla

Sr. Project Manager / MEP Coordinator – Tanya Padilla

Tanya has more than 12 years of experience in the construction industry with an emphasis in MEP systems. She graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management in 2006. Her project experience includes Ralph L. Carr Judicial Center, Charles Schwab Lone Tree Campus, Fort Carson TEMF Projects, Gaylord Rockies Resort & Convention Center, and multiple SunEdison Solar projects. Tanya’s first project with JHL is managing the $42 million Metro Wastewater RWHTF Support Facilities Upgrade project that includes two new ground-up buildings, two renovations/additions, a new fueling facility, and associated sitework on an active wastewater treatment facility campus.

Brianna Hallmark

Marketing Coordinator – Brianna Hallmark

Brianna is a recent graduate from Concordia University Nebraska with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Minor in Graphic Design. While attending college, she was a member of the Women’s indoor and outdoor track and field teams and worked for the college’s marketing department handling
outbound designs for future students, present students, and alumni. Brianna will be focused on supporting both JHL’s internal and external marketing efforts.

Trevor Hartley

Estimator – Trevor Hartley

Trevor has more than 20 years of estimating experience in the construction industry with an emphasis in commercial and civil construction. His project experience covers a wide range of markets including healthcare, K-12, higher education, retail, ground-up office, tenant improvement, municipal, industrial, multifamily residential, and hospitality projects. Notable projects he’s worked on include 999 17th Street, Aspen Walk, Union Senior Campus, Oakridge Senior Campus, Ting Internet Data Center, Boulder Toyota, LHM Dodge, Enterprise Auto Plaza, AFC Urgent Care, and Pikes Peak Vet Clinic. His work experience includes client/architect interface, supervision and management, and infrastructure development.

 

Ian Wong

NexCore Group Hires Healthcare Executive Ian Wong as Executive Vice President, Operations

National healthcare real estate developer NexCore Group announced that Ian Wong has joined its firm as executive vice president, Operations.

Mr. Wong joins the growing firm with rich experience in the industry and will focus on organizational transformation to maximize operational efficiencies across multiple business lines.

“NexCore Group is excited to announce the appointment of Ian Wong, an excellent addition to our growing team,” Jarrod Daddis, president and managing partner says. “As our firm expands to meet the ever-changing needs of health systems nationwide, we look forward to the leadership, operational and strategic wisdom we know Ian will provide.”

Mr. Wong joins NexCore from DaVita, a Denver-based Fortune 200 healthcare services company, where he served in a number of roles over his eight-year tenure, including leading DaVita’s international finance function; running strategy for a $1 billion dialysis portfolio of 65 clinics covering 6 states, 850 teammates and 5,500 patients; and conducting business development with health systems for the firm’s population health businesses.

Mr. Wong also spent five years as a management consultant at AT Kearney, focusing on organizational transformation, process redesign, organizational design, change management and supply chain functions. Early in his career, he also served as Manager, Capital Management and Investor Relations at AT&T Broadband and graduated from AT&T’s prestigious Financial Leadership Program.

Mr. Wong earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance from The Pennsylvania State University and an MBA from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.
