Jane Everhart Promoted to President of Brinkman Real Estate

To support continued market focus in secondary/tertiary markets in the Intermountain West region, Brinkman Real Estate has announced that Jane Everhart has been promoted to president and CFO of the real estate investment firm.

Jane is an accomplished senior executive with over 30 years of experience in financial management, including 20 years as a CFO for high-growth, entrepreneurial companies. She has helped companies achieve incredible success by propelling growth, profits, and culture. Throughout her career at OtterBox, Gorsuch Ltd. and Brinkman Real Estate, Jane has navigated tremendous domestic and international growth, resulting in profit increases from 35% to 300% during her watch.

Jane has been with Brinkman since 2014 and previously held the chief financial officer and chief operations officer roles.  She will continue her duties as CFO as she steps into this expanded role as president. In her time with the company, she has brought a progressive approach to finance and strategic growth while enhancing the company’s focus on employee satisfaction and development and overall organizational health.

In the expansive president role, Jane will lead strategic initiatives that focus on organizational optimization and structure while driving short and long-term company goals.

Jane holds a B.S. in Business with an emphasis in Accounting from the University of Colorado. She is a Certified Public Accountant, a graduate of the Women’s Vision Leadership Institute and is a strategic operating plan facilitator from the Paterson Center.

She was named a Women to Watch Leader by the Colorado Society and the American Institute of Certified Public Accounts and an Outstanding Women in Business Finalist by the Denver Business Journal.

SideCar PR, a full-service communications firm specializing in commercial real estate, community building and placemaking, has expanded its content creation, data capabilities and multimedia services with the hire of Molly Armbrister, senior manager, content and copywriting, and Melanie Towler, multimedia manager.

An award-winning local journalist and former commercial real estate analyst, Armbrister offers a distinctive blend of dynamic storytelling skills and deep knowledge of the commercial real estate industry. In her new role, Armbrister will use her decade of experience to bring a unique voice to each of SideCar PR’s clients while infusing all types of content with statistical and market expertise.

Prior to joining SideCar PR, Molly worked as a senior research analyst for CBRE in Denver, where she produced in-depth research reports and whitepapers, conducted economic and market analysis, and prepared and delivered presentations to small groups and statewide organizations alike. She previously worked at the Denver Business Journal and BizWest Media, covering commercial real estate, construction, finance, retail and other topics. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Technical Communications from Colorado State University.

Towler brings seven years of video production and photography experience to her role as multimedia manager, drawing on her passion for storytelling to create visual content that highlights the unique stories of SideCar’s clients. Prior to SideCar PR, Melanie worked for a video production and photography studio where she created a variety of videos, from short documentaries for international nonprofits to commercial promotions for local businesses. She earned a degree in journalism from Colorado State University, where she focused on video production and photography.

Derek Ellefsen Joins Taylor Kohrs as Superintendent

Taylor Kohrs, a Colorado-based general contractor for nearly 40 years, recently hired Derek Ellefsen as a superintendent. He previously worked in high-traffic, densely-occupied projects in New York City.

In his role as superintendent with Taylor Kohrs, Ellefsen is responsible for coordinating daily construction activities, supervising field workers and subcontractors, coordination with preconstruction and project managers, as well as overall construction site safety and due diligence. He also coordinates procurement and delivery of project equipment and materials in a timely manner.

“We are glad to have Derek on the Taylor Kohrs team and as a leader on the Atrium at Austin Bluffs project,” said Scott Heasty, vice president of operations, Taylor Kohrs. “Derek has the experience and skills needed for safe and successful execution of this 3-story affordable multi-family housing construction.”

Ellefsen earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from University at Buffalo, The State University of New York. He’s OSHA Construction trained and certified, and holds a Construction Manager in Training (CMIT) certification from the Construction Manager’s Association of America.

 

Atlas Real Estate Announces New Hires

Denver-based Atlas Real Estate announced two new hires this week; Edith Nyarko and Liz Hanley.

Edith Nyarko, Transaction Coordinator

Edith joins the Atlas brokerage team as a transaction coordinator. She brings five years of experience in accounting to the role. In her previous position she managed 15 project managers by communicating effectively regarding contracts, documents, approvals and client invoicing requirements. Edith earned a bachelor’s degree in International Affairs from the University of Northern Colorado. While she was there, she started the African Culture Club to promote diversity and introduce students to African culture.

Liz Hanley, Property Manager

Liz has joined the Atlas team as a property manager after a 10-year career in theme park customer services in Florida and California. She loves working with people and is excited to live out the Atlas mission to uplift humanity through real estate by working to provide a positive experience for Denver residents. Liz earned a bachelor’s degree from North Central College in Naperville, IL.
