Donna Horii Named National Group Sales Manager for The Charter at Beaver Creek

East West Hospitality has hired Donna Horii to serve as the national group sales manager at The Charter at Beaver Creek in the heart of Colorado’s Vail Valley.

The award-winning Charter at Beaver Creek is a luxury resort with 150+ individually owned one to five-bedroom condominiums. The European-inspired resort offers more than 8,000 square feet of event space that can host weddings, leisure gatherings and corporate events for up to 200 people, including in the spacious Seibert Room.

New for 2021, The Charter will complete more than $5 million in capital improvements, including the creation of a beautiful roof top ceremony space with exceptional views of Beaver Creek as well as major updates to the indoor and outdoor meeting spaces.

With more than 30 years of hospitality experience, Horii most recently served as business development manager for the Colorado Hotel and Lodging Association. A graduate of the University of Colorado at Boulder, she also previously served as the director of sales for the Breckenridge Tourism Office and held sales positions with the Grand Junction Visitor & Convention Bureau, Visit Denver and the Keystone Resort & Conference Center. Horii has been active member of several hospitality industry groups, including Destination Colorado, Meeting Professionals International and the American Society of Association Executives.

Cuningham Appoints New Board Chair and Leadership Council

Cuningham, a design firm with expertise in architecture, interior design, urban design, landscape architecture, and master planning, has announced the appointments of a new board chair and leadership council as part of an internal restructuring that reflects the firm’s continued dedication to meaningful collaboration and creating unique, forward-looking environments.

Cuningham Principal Meg Parsons, FAIA, NCARB, ALEP, LEED® BD+C, who has been with the firm for over 30 years, is stepping into the role of board chair.

The firm, who has an office in Denver, also announced a new leadership council that  includes Denver-based Kari-elin Mock, AIA, NCARB, LEED AP® BD+C principal and executive director of Grow, a studio dedicated to design for communities and learners, from preschool to higher education. She has been leading the firm’s efforts on many significant education projects and serves as the Southwest Region past president of the Association for Learning Environments (A4LE).

In line with this restructuring, the firm also updated its name to the singular ‘Cuningham’ from ‘Cuningham Group,’ which reflects this unified approach and conveys the close connection to every project, stakeholder, and team member.

 

Atlas Announces Promotion

Brian Bellew

Atlas Real Estate, a full-service real estate company specializing in investment brokerage, property management and institutional acquisitions, has promoted Brian Bellew to vice president, property management operations. The addition of this new role will ensure that both residents and property owners continue to experience Atlas’ track record of delivering 5-star service in the midst of rapid market expansion.

Bellew began his career at Atlas has a property manager 2014 before transitioning to the brokerage division. From 2017 to 2020 Brian led the Zillow Offers team, managing five analysts and overseeing thousands of transactions.

Bellew has a Master’s degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Seattle Pacific University.
