Ryan Companies Names New Regional President

Ryan Companies US, Inc. – a national commercial real estate solutions provider – announced today its official expansion into Colorado by naming a new regional president. Kirk Monroe will assume the position of Ryan’s Rocky Mountain regional president. Having served as one of Ryan’s partners in Colorado across much of the country for more than 25 years, Monroe is very familiar with the company.

Monroe brings 29 years of experience in the banking services industry. He most recently served as executive vice president and director of banking services at Vectra Bank Colorado where he has facilitated billions in real estate financing for projects across the U.S. Monroe is currently an advisory board member of the Urban Land Institute, board member of the Downtown Denver Partnership Investment Committee, board member and member of the EDC Board of Governors for the Metro Denver Economic Development Corporation Board and advisory board member for The Other Side Academy.

In addition to naming a new president, a longtime Ryan team member of 17 years was recently promoted. Mark Beal was appointed to the role of vice president of construction operations and will oversee construction planning and logistics for the Rocky Mountain Region. In this role, Beal will maintain best practices and standardize processes as the region continues to grow.

 

Avison Young Names Principal and President of Occupier Services

Avison Young announced the strategic appointment of Keith Knox as principal and president of occupier services. In this newly created role, he will be responsible for the acceleration of the firm’s global occupier platform, helping clients achieve their outcomes around space planning, facility management, productivity and more. Knox will integrate Avison Young’s existing occupier offerings, tap into leading data and technology tools – including AVANT by Avison Young, and create connections and processes to make client-centric services seamless.

Knox will serve on the Executive Committee and report to Principal and President of Clients, Harry Klaff and partner with Avison Young’s national presidents, service line leaders and AVANT teams to accelerate delivery of balanced, cohesive occupier offerings.

Knox brings to the firm more than 25 years of extensive experience in building processes, tools, metrics and go-to-market strategies for integrated businesses. Most recently he served as managing director and sales lead for JLL’s Integrated Portfolio Services group in the Central Region of the U.S.

The Westin Riverfront Resort & Spa Names New Director of Sales & Marketing and Leisure Sales Manager

The Westin Riverfront Resort & Spa Avon, Vail Valley announced that Danielle McNair is now serving as director of sales & marketing at the award-winning resort.  The Westin Riverfront also recently hired Catherine Dierolf as a leisure sales manager.

McNair joins The Westin Riverfront from the Viceroy Snowmass, another luxury Colorado resort managed by East West Hospitality, where she most recently served as the director of business development.

A graduate of the University of Georgia, McNair’s diverse hospitality experience includes roles in catering, event design and sales and marketing at several top Colorado companies, including Vail Resorts, the Vail Valley Partnership and the Sonnenalp Resort of Vail. McNair has lived in the Vail Valley for 20+ years and holds a Certified Hospitality Sales Professional Certification from the American Hotel and Lodging Association.

Dierolf joins The Westin Riverfront from Ski.com. A graduate of Stockton University, she previously spent 6+ years working for Vail Resorts, starting as a certified snowboard instructor before becoming a leisure hospitality sales coordinator.

Ben Petre Strengthens Dorsey’s Construction and Design Practice in Denver

International law firm Dorsey & Whitney LLP is pleased to announce that construction and commercial attorney Benjamin Petre has joined the firm as a partner in its Denver office.

Ben counsels clients and litigates disputes in construction and general commercial matters. As a construction attorney, Ben assists clients with every phase of the construction process, from drafting and negotiating agreements for every aspect of a project, to resolving claims and disputes concerning complex construction issues. He represents general contractors, subcontractors, design professionals and owners in such matters. Ben has represented clients in jurisdictions across the United States and in various sectors, including energy, mining, healthcare, education, transportation, residential, commercial, and public projects.

Before joining Dorsey, Ben was with Faegre Drinker Biddle & Reath in its Denver office. Ben is a member of the Colorado State Bar Association and Denver Bar Association. He earned his bachelor’s degree magna cum laude from the University of New Mexico and his J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law.
