McKinstry Bolsters Technical Services Business; Names New National Director

McKinstry, a national construction and energy services firm, has expanded its national and regional technical services business, naming a new national director of Technical Services and promoting several key executives to lead the technical services teams in the Pacific Northwest, South and Midwest regions. McKinstry’s technical services offerings include commissioning, facility condition assessments (FCA), active energy management and other services that optimize facility operations.

Phil Saieg will fill the new role of national director of Technical Services. He previously led McKinstry’s Rocky Mountain Region Technical Services team. Others assuming new leadership roles within the technical services team.

“We’re seeing continued growth in the demand for consultative and annuity based technical services as building owners and operators look for more ways to unlock and leverage critical building data to improve operating efficiency and reduce costs,” said Chris Larocque, McKinstry’s vice president of Energy and Technical Services.

Saieg has been a part of McKinstry’s highly successful Mountain Region having served as the regional director for the past two and a half years. During his eight years with the firm, Saieg’s strategic thinking, planning and actualizing have been key to McKinstry’s technical services success. He will be charged with leading and growing the technical services business throughout the U.S. by leveraging the company’s existing presence and offerings, while also obtaining new strategic accounts to increase market share in both existing and new geographies.

 

Atlas Real Estate Promotes Sarah Galligan to Controller and Executive Leadership Team

Atlas Real Estate, a full-service real estate company specializing in investment brokerage, property management and institutional acquisition, is thrilled to announce that Sarah Galligan has been elevated to controller, also serving on the executive
leadership team.

Galligan has always had a knack for real estate. Inspired by her father, a successful real estate agent with over 35 years of experience, Galligan landed her first job at Land Title, where she learned the ins and outs of the industry. Five years later, she joined Atlas and was the company’s very first hire!

As Controller, Galligan is responsible for conducting monthly financial reporting for third party owners, as well as Atlas’ internal companies. She also manages account reconciliation, account support, payroll and various human resource duties. Galligan’s strong work ethic goes beyond her daily responsibilities. In years past, she co-led Atlas’ community engagement efforts, #AtlasGivesBack. Her passion for and commitment to community is evident during these unprecedented, challenging times. For many weeks, she has been diligently making St Joseph Hospital-approved protective masks for Colorado community members in the front line of the pandemic.

Kiewit Promotes Chris Stolzer to Senior Vice President

Kiewit, one of the largest construction and engineering organizations in North America, has new leadership for its mountain operations as Project Executive Chris Stolzer was recently promoted to senior vice president.

In his new role, Stolzer will oversee all of Kiewit’s vertical building and redevelopment projects in the mountain region, including the 9th and Colorado mixed-use neighborhood (9+CO), Market Station in downtown Denver and work at Buckley Air Force Base in Aurora, among others.

Stolzer will also continue to oversee the buildout of Kiewit’s new 400,000-square-foot regional campus in Lone Tree. The project will provide a central hub for the company’s existing Colorado-based staff of 900 and allow Kiewit to continue developing a versatile and dynamic workforce to meet growing demand for its services and expertise across the region. Stolzer has led the Lone Tree project since the company broke ground in 2019.

Stolzer is a veteran in the construction industry with more than three decades of experience. He started his career as craft, and in 1996, joined Kiewit, working in various capacities and locations throughout the U.S. and Canada. Notable projects on Stolzer’s resume include the Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center; Olde Town Arvada transit hub; Alpine Village Apartments on the campus of the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs; SCL Health Community Hospitals, and many others outside of Colorado, including: Nebraska Medical Center Campus; Creighton University Medical Center; Joslyn Art Museum; Toronto’s GO East Rail Maintenance Facility; Dulles Silver Line Stations. He holds a bachelor’s degree in construction engineering and technology from the University of Nebraska.

 

Boutique Accounting Firm Hires New Director of Client Services

SC & Hansen Certified Public Accountants, a boutique accounting firm that provides a full suite of tax, accounting and consulting services, recently welcomed Hailey Thiel to its growing team. Thiel will serve as the director of client services for the firm, focusing on growing the company’s fractional CFO, consulting, bookkeeping, and tax services.

“I’ve known Hailey for a long time, and she has always been hyper-focused on client experience and results,” said Josh Hansen, managing partner at SC & Hansen CPA. “After identifying our plans for growth, I knew Hailey could execute our vision. We are thrilled to welcome her to the team.”

Originally from Texas, Thiel has called Colorado home for more than 17 years and is committed to taking care of her community. Most recently, she served on the board of directors for CherryArts, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide access to art experiences and support arts education in Colorado, including hosting the annual Cherry Creek Arts Festival and new Stanley Arts Festival.

Thiel has also served as a committee chair for multiple organizations including Brokers Benefiting Kids, a Denver Active 20-30 partnership that raised funds for underprivileged children in Colorado, Women of Enterprise, which raised funds for scholarships for women enrolled in the Franklin L. Burns School of Real Estate and Construction Management at the University of Denver, and Big Brothers Big Sisters’ Women’s Gala.
