Norris Design Promotes Team Member in Denver

Norris Design, a national people and placemaking firm, has announced the promotion of Savanah Benedick-Welch to associate in its Fort Collins office.

Savanah has worked as a certified planner across public and private sectors for more than a decade, leveraging her holistic understanding of the industry to bridge the gaps between a developer’s vision and land use regulations. Her portfolio includes various residential types and densities, as well as comprehensive plans and retail redevelopments. In all her projects, Savanah is passionate about prioritizing water efficiency and natural resource preservation. Her recent residential work includes Trailside, a multifamily project in Timnath, and Penrose Residential in Frederick.

“Savanah’s passion for sustainability and commitment to water-efficiency has been transformational for Norris Design’s projects in Northern Colorado. Christine Romero Named Chief of Staff at Encore Electric

Encore Electric announced that Christine Romero has been named chief of staff at Encore Electric. Her new position will allow the executive leadership team to become more organized and efficient as the organization continues to grow. 

“I’m excited to be in this new role because it puts me in line with what I’m really passionate about, and that’s people,” said Romero. “When we say we promote from within, I am proof of that. I came into Encore Electric as a part-time receptionist, as a single mom. I am so grateful to Encore Electric and how we operate by the merit shop philosophy. That means opportunities exist every day for everyone to grow in their career here.”

“Christine knows everything about Encore Electric. She has served in almost every support role.  Her understanding of the business will make her successful in her new duties,” said Willis Wiedel, Chief Executive Officer. She will be a critical righthand for the Encore Electric leadership team and the entire organization.”

As Chief of Staff, Christine will be responsible for advising and supporting the leadership team in their daily duties and helping them to maximize their time and efforts. She has already proven herself invaluable as a sounding board for ideas, providing strategic counsel, and attending to leadership duties.

Her experience and expertise have already proven invaluable to the Encore Electric team during her more than 20 years of service to the organization. Allowing Romero to continue to use her talents and skills in each of these areas will ensure the continued growth and success of Encore Electric.

Howell Construction Announces the Addition of Andrew Gilstrap to its Leadership Team

Howell Construction announced the addition of a valuable new member to our leadership roster. Bringing nearly two decades of experience from a prominent national contractor, Andrew Gilstrap joins Howell as a vice president, further enriching our leadership team.

Andrew brings with him a wealth of experience in overseeing the construction of notable projects across the Front Range. His portfolio includes significant contributions to projects such as the CSU Spur Campus at the National Western Center, CDOT Region 1 Headquarters, the National Renewable Energy Laboratory Energy Systems Integration Facility, and numerous others.
