Cole Taylor Expands Team with New Hires

ColeTaylor, a Denver-based commercial property management company recently welcomed Christian Merrick, vice president of accounting and Rick Justice, vice president of engineering, to the team.

Merrick brings nearly 20 years of accounting and leadership experience with prominent office, retail and industrial projects around Denver. Justice brings substantial knowledge and expertise in developing and implementing tailored energy management strategies and preventative maintenance for properties.

Cole Taylor recently expanded its commercial property management portfolio to include Elevate, a 20-story office building located at 4100 E. Mississippi Ave. in Glendale.

 

Matrix Group Announces Two Promotions and a New Hire

Matrix Group, Inc. (MGI) announced the restructure of their property management team and the addition of a new member.  Mauri Cohen has moved from the role of property panager to become director of Property Management.  As a result, Kristie Henehan assumes the role of property manager for MGI, having previously served as assistant property manager.  In addition, Christine Cascella joins MGI as tenant relations manager.

Matrix Group is a local and privately owned commercial real estate company whose portfolio consists of approximately 1M square feet of retail, industrial and office properties along the Colorado front range. Matrix Group provides the full breadth of commercial real estate services, including property management, leasing, acquisition/disposition and asset management.

As Director of Property Management, Mauri oversees the Property Management department and is dedicated to the financial performance and tenant satisfaction of MGI’s properties.  A life-time resident of Colorado, Mauri received her Bachelor of Science in Journalism and Advertising at the University of Colorado in Boulder and has over fifteen years of experience in property management.

In her role as Property Manager, Kristie Henehan focuses primarily on vendor relations and coordination of property and tenant improvement projects.  Kristie is licensed real estate broker in Colorado, has earned her Real Property Administrators (RPA) designation, and has more than thirteen years of property management experience.

Christine Cascella joined MGI as tenant relations manager, serving as the main point-of-contact for current tenants at properties owned or managed by Matrix Group. Christine recently moved to Denver from Portland, Maine, where she worked as an assistant property manager and tenant relations advisor for Port Property Management. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Vermont before attending the Auguste Escoffier School of the Culinary Arts in Boulder.

 

Katie Gordon Named Director of Training and Culture at Zocalo

Zocalo Community Development announced this week that Katie Gordon has been promoted to director of Training and Culture for the company. Gordon has been a management coordinator for Zocalo since 2017.

As Director of Training and Culture, Gordon supports Zocalo team members through developing and facilitating training curriculum and policies and procedures that promote the company’s core values and internal work culture across the organization. Additionally, this position works closely with the director of Real Estate providing operational support.

“For over two years, Katie has played an essential role in promoting a positive culture of excellence at Zocalo both internally and externally,” said Kellea Jeffrey, director of Real Estate at Zocalo. “As the company has grown, Katie has accepted new challenges and initiatives as her own, promoting each new opportunity with a smile. Her commitment to personal and professional growth has earned her the Director role.”

Gordon has over a decade of experience in multi-family property management, property renovations, luxury operations and sales management. She holds adult learning certifications in both training and instructional design, and is passionate about creating a culture of learning and positive employee experience.

 

Cresa Expands its Project Management Service Line

The Denver office of Cresa, an occupier focused commercial real estate firm, welcomes Project Manager Rebecca Bakke.

Rebecca has six years of project and construction management experience with JLL, Rand Construction and Robinson Development Group, where she managed land development projects as well as tenant build outs for an office portfolio. She has a bachelor’s degree from Denison University and a NAIOP certificate of Advanced Study in Real Estate Finance.

“Project Management is a service line that we have been really strategic in growing,” said Garrett Johnson, managing principal of Cresa. “It’s not just about adding people but building a team of the right people that will allow us to provide our clients with more value for years to come.”

In her new role, Rebecca will work side-by-side with occupiers to understand and develop their workplace strategy, from budget and schedule development to the oversight of design, construction, team selection, vendor management, furniture procurement, and relocation planning and management.
