McWhinney Names Keith Hurand Executive Vice President of Master-Planned Communities
McWhinney, a national real estate investment, development and management firm with expertise in commercial, multifamily, hospitality, residential and mixed-use assets, has expanded its leadership team to include Keith Hurand as executive vice president of its master-planned communities business line.
In this role, Hurand will lead McWhinney’s community development and placemaking initiatives, focusing on execution, leadership and strategic planning for its mixed-use community developments. His responsibilities include overseeing the growth of Baseline, McWhinney’s 1,100-acre master-planned community in Broomfield, as well as Centerra, an award-winning 3,000-acre master-planned community in Loveland, in addition to Kinston, the newest residential community in Centerra, located on 625 acres east of I-25 and Hwy. 34. Hurand will lead the strategy and community development execution and operations for large-scale land developments, and oversee P&L’s and long-term business forecasting.

Hurand has corporate, regional and field operations residential leadership experience, extensive P&L leadership experience of business units in more than 16 U.S. markets and has product expertise involving master-planned communities, residential, build-to-rent, commercial, multifamily, 55+ active adult communities and urban mixed-use real estate. He also brings more than 25 years of experience in land acquisition, land development, single-family residential construction, mid and high-rise condos and industrial real estate development and construction.
Prior to joining McWhinney, Keith spent more than two decades in various roles including president & chief operating officer for Newland Real Estate Group, region president at WCI Communities, and division president for both Taylor Morrison and Century Communities.
CBRE Adds to Industrial & Logistics Practice in Denver
CBRE announced that Michael Harpole joined its Denver office as a senior associate focusing on industrial tenant representation.
Mr. Harpole joins CBRE from Tributary Real Estate, where he primarily represented Denver-based office tenants and helped out-of-state companies relocate to Colorado.

He also served on the Infrastructure committee for the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce.
