JVA, Inc. Announces New Vice President
JVA, Inc. announced that Derek Pedersen, PE has been promoted to officer with the title of vice president and structural principal.
Derek has been with the JVA Structural team in the Boulder office since 2000 and has completed the design of multiple healthcare, education, municipal, and commercial projects throughout the country.
Derek has over 22 years of experience as a consultant in the construction industry leading JVA in the adoption and development of Revit Structure and BIM practices. Derek will assist JVA staff and clients with design execution, business development, staff development and strategic decision-making for the firm.
Derek is a member of the SEI/CASE Digital Design Committee and a member of the Structural Engineers Association of Colorado’s Business Management Committee.

Newmark Hires Jack Kachadurian to Expand Leadership of Multifamily Investment Sales Team in Denver
Newmark announced the hiring of experienced multifamily development expert Jack Kachadurian as managing director. Working alongside Managing Director Courtney Crowder, Kachadurian will further expand the leadership of Newmark’s Denver multifamily investment sales team. The team is supported by Senior Transaction Manager Amanda Meldrum and Transaction Manager Craig Ratterman. In addition, the investment sales team partners with Managing Director Bryon Stevenson on multifamily land transactions.
“We are thrilled to bring Jack’s talents to our expanding Colorado multifamily capital markets platform,” said Crowder. “His extensive experience in the multifamily industry, including the development space, will bring a unique perspective to our team and further the dynamic services we provide our clients.”
In his new role, Kachadurian will be responsible for the marketing and sale of multifamily assets across Colorado. He brings to Newmark more than 12 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry, with over a decade specializing in multifamily development.
Prior to joining Newmark, Kachadurian served as director of investments for Forum Investment Group, a private real estate investment firm specializing in multifamily. In this role, Kachadurian’s responsibilities included sourcing development opportunities, negotiating purchase and sale agreements and sourcing preferred equity and mezzanine debt opportunities in Southwest U.S. markets. Kachadurian also previously served as vice president of development with Waypoint Residential and Wood Partners, both based in Denver.
Kachadurian earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a dual emphasis in Management and Finance from Denver’s Regis University.
Taylor Kohrs Hires New Superintendent
Taylor Kohrs, a Colorado-based general contractor for nearly 40 years, announced it recently hired Kip Boyer as a superintendent. Boyer brings more than 20 years of building construction and supervisory experience to this new role.
As a superintendent with Taylor Kohrs, Boyer is responsible for coordinating daily construction activities, supervising field workers and subcontractors, coordinating with preconstruction and project managers, as well as overall construction site safety and due diligence. He also coordinates the procurement and delivery of project equipment and materials.

Boyer served in the U.S. Air Force from 1997 – 2000 and the Air Force Reserve from 2000 – 2006. He is OSHA 30 certified.
