Scott Vollmer named General Manager of LoDo’s Dairy Block
Dairy Block announced this week that Scott Vollmer is now serving as general manager of the award-winning micro-district
Located in the heart of LoDo, Dairy Block is home to more than a dozen shops, an eclectic mix of restaurants and bars, a luxury coworking space and the independent Maven Hotel.
Vollmer is a goal-driven operations leader with a proven record of leading large-scale property operations and retail placemaking for mixed-used development projects. Vollmer joins Dairy Block from Denver’s Milender White, where he spent five years as director of property operations. At Milender White, Vollmer oversaw all facets of commercial property operations and asset management for the in-house development team, including launching Summit County’s successful Fourth Street Crossing project, a 210,000-square-foot Class A mixed-use development that features the Bluebird Market food hall, a 112-key Hotel Indigo and 57 multi-family units.
Before moving to Colorado, Vollmer served as market manager with EDENS overseeing the urban re-development project of the 45-acre Union Market District in Washington, D.C. As Market Manager, Vollmer worked closely with entrepreneurs, artists and small business owners to curate all retail leasing, marketing and property operations throughout the community. In addition, he also managed two event venues that hosted a wide range of community events and partnerships with organizations such as The James Beard Foundation, Target & Soul Cycle, Gilt City and the U.S. State Department.
Prior to joining EDENS, Vollmer was the director of outlets at the W Hotel in Washington D.C. and assistant director of food & beverage for the Waldorf Astoria in New York City. A graduate of Johnson State College in Vermont, Vollmer completed an accelerated course in food & beverage operations from New York University’s School of Professional Studies. An avid skier, woodworker and marathon runner, Vollmer is active with the Downtown Denver Partnership, a graduate of the Leadership Program and current member of the Retail Council. He lives in Denver with partner Greta and their 3-year-old daughter.
“The future of downtown retail is no longer about convenience and location, it’s about creating a destination where people can connect, businesses flourish, and the spirit of Denver comes alive,” said Vollmer. “I look forward to continuing to create unique and genuine experiences for both our patrons and visitors while providing a best-in-class experience and opportunity for our tenants.”
