Crescent Hires New Senior Vice President for Acquisitions

Crescent Real Estate LLC (Crescent) announced the hiring of Lindsey Giacchino as a senior vice president for acquisitions in the Denver office.

Giacchino’s responsibilities include identifying and leading office acquisitions and establishing strategic plans for acquired properties. Lindsey joins Crescent with a wide range of experience and knowledge of key markets in the west and southwest United States. In her previous role, Giacchino was responsible for purchase and sale negotiations, joint venture negotiations, financing, and asset management.

“Lindsey brings a compelling skill set and experience in commercial real estate acquisitions, asset management, and operations. Coupled with her experience in financing and joint ventures, she is a great fit with Crescent’s opportunistic and strategic philosophy of acquisitions and asset ownership,” said Co-CEO of Crescent, Conrad Suszynski. “We expect Lindsey to play a key role as Crescent looks to expand its active markets for office acquisitions.”

Giacchino earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a Real Estate concentration from the University of Denver in 2007. After graduating, Giacchino joined Miller Global Properties where she held positions of increasing responsibility in the company’s financial organization before joining the office investments group where she ascended to senior vice president.

 

i2 Construction Adds Four New Industry Professionals to Team

i2 Construction, a Denver-based full-service commercial general contractor recently welcomed four new professionals to the team: Sheila Gilman, project coordinator; Abby Nuetzel, preconstruction manager; Bailey Newlin, director of business development; and Russell Fields, estimating coordinator. 

“We feel fortunate that we found these four new members of the i2 family and they each bring a unique set of skills and experiences with them,” said Scott Farrell, i2 president. “These new team members will make our deliverables an even better value for our clients. They will also provide additional support to our team and, most importantly, they are each a perfect fit for our culture.” 

Sheila Gilman, i2 project coordinator, comes with more than 12 years of experience in the construction industry. Most recently, Gilman worked as a project coordinator and office manager for a structural engineering firm, Barton Consulting Services, LLC. She first started in the industry on the architecture side, but quickly learned that her passion was in construction. As project coordinator, she will support, organize and provide workflow solutions that contribute to delivering an exceptional client experience at i2.

Abby Nuetzel, i2 Construction preconstruction manager, joins the team with nearly a decade of construction industry experience and has built a deep understanding of the tenant improvement market in Denver. She is responsible for all budgeting, pricing and subcontractor selection during preconstruction. In this role, Nuetzel collaborates with clients, owner’s representatives and design teams to ensure projects are delivered on budget and within the allotted schedule.  

Bailey Newlin, i2 director of business development, comes with more than six years of business development experience. Most recently, she served as LSE Builders Group’s business development manager for the Colorado Commercial Construction Division where she built a large network of business connections within the industry. Newlin works alongside i2’s Business Development team to build relationships within the medical, office and industrial markets.   

Russell Fields, i2 estimating coordinator, comes with more than four years of experience in the construction industry. Before joining the team, Fields estimated and managed ground-up projects with a focus on exterior and interior framing and drywall. In his new role at i2, he will support preconstruction managers by setting up projects, continuing to foster subcontractor relationships and bid coordination.

Saunders Construction, Inc., Names Dale Schneider Vice President of Saunders Express

Saunders Construction, Inc., announced the promotion of Dale Schneider to vice president of Saunders Construction, Inc., overseeing its Saunders Express business unit. The Saunders Express team specializes in delivering the full spectrum of tenant improvement and healthcare projects.

Schneider’s responsibilities include the oversight and management of Saunders Express’s business plan and operations, implementing strategic goals, and building strong community and client relationships. Saunders Express was previously led by Ryan Balakas, who now oversees Saunders Norwood Construction, a newly formed partnership, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Balakas and Schneider will continue to work together to ensure a seamless transition while collaborate on key business initiatives.

Schneider, who previously served as Saunders’ preconstruction director, has been with the company for over 14 years. He has served in many roles across the business including preconstruction, operations and concrete services. Schneider’s experience complements an already strong and established leadership team within Saunders Express. This group also focuses on renovation and new construction projects ranging from $50,000 to over $15 million for private, non-profit, municipal, education, lab, research and institutional clients. In the last five years, the Saunders Express division has successfully completed in excess of $500 million in Denver metro region projects.

Chris Crawford to Lead Hines’ Denver Office 

Hines announced that Chris Crawford, managing director and seven-year veteran with the firm, will now lead Hines’ Denver office and oversee operations and new business initiatives.

Chris joined Hines in 2014 and is a Colorado native. Since joining the firm, he has been a key member responsible for the development, acquisition and disposition of more than $2 billion across 16 projects and a wide array of product type.

“We are thrilled to appoint Chris into this leadership role in Denver,” said Mark Cover, CEO of Hines Southwest Region. “He is highly respected among colleagues, and his expertise, local knowledge and strong relationships will allow Hines to continue to grow and prosper in the area for years to come.”

Hines first entered the Denver market in 1983 and has since developed, acquired and managed over 40 million square feet of signature projects representing a wide variety of product types – from city-defining office buildings to retail, residential and mixed-use developments. The office employs over 80 employees.

Jack Heagen joins Elevate Real Estate Services

Elevate Real Estate Services, an independent firm offering comprehensive management solutions with a personal touch and extensive experience in property and asset management, recently announced the addition of Jack Heagen to the firms’ property management team. Heagen will provide experience and support in overseeing multi-unit investors, single unit owners, mixed-use spaces, commercial condo associations, investment properties, and industrial/flex property management. In addition, he brings experience in market analysis for proficient pricing, as well as capital improvement projects.

Prior to working at Elevate, Heagen managed a 450,000 square foot industrial and flex property mix portfolio for CGR Commercial Management, as well as assisted in the management of a 1.8 million square foot condo and investment property portfolio located throughout northern Virginia. Heagen has experience managing properties throughout Virginia as well as in Chicago, Illinois. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in telecommunications and communication and culture from Indiana University.
